(Based on a report in Hindi Daily, Navbharat Times Delhi  Dated-30TH OCT. 2001)

Acupuncture system of treatment is becoming popular nowadays. Many of the patients for whom practitioners of Modern Medicine had no hope have been successfully cured by this system. Saurabh aged 17 years says he had injured his left eye due to a fall from a sofa resulting in swelling and retinal Injury. Doctors at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and AIIMS could not help, but he got cured by Acupuncture. It has now become possible to treat diseases of eyes, ears and liver using Acupuncture. Due to success of Acupuncture many doctors practicing modern medicine are taking interest in it. Dr Ved Prakash Banga,  who earlier practiced modern medicine in Delhi’s Trans Yamuna G.T.B. Enclave  says even W.H.O. has recognized this system. In many developed countries 13 percent to 17 percent of their sick are treated by Acupuncture. It is better result oriented and  without any side effects. According to Dr. Ved When Saurabh came to him he

had degenerated retina which responded well within 2-3 sittings. Now he has better vision.

Master Vebhav had a defective ear. He has senso-neural hearing loss. Dr. Ved says he takes up such type of patients as a challenge. Vebhav was declared as incurable by doctors of modern medicine. Vebhav was administered 40 sittings of Acupuncture. This gave new life to his ear nerves and he is able to hear.

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNIQUE CAN CURE MANY DISEASES.

Based on a report in Hindi Daily, Navbharat Times, Delhi based 8th June 2001.

Sneh Jain an East Delhi resident, had allergy to news paper ink. She had bouts of cough, sneezing and some times bleeding, while reading a newspaper. Doctors in modern medicine had adviced her to avoid reading newspaper. But she was treated at a acupuncture centre in East Delhi, and after 10 sittings, she became all right and started reading news papers. Ramesh consulted AIIMS for severe backache but was not relieved. After 20 sittings of acupuncture, he can now run. Besides these ailment like angina, asthma, penumotnorax, gynecology problems, jaundice, paralysis, diabetes respond well to acupuncture. But the system has not been recognized by the Central Govt.

There are medical councils for research and development for other systems, but in spite of its effectiveness there is no council as such for acupuncture. But this technique is being applied in the capital in non-government hospitals and nursing homes and

at the AIIMS and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. etc. But in government hospitals generally, it has been reduced to a simple pain alleviating technique. But, according to acupuncture reports, this is a complete technique and every disease responds to it. It is only due to government apathy that it has not been utilized. This system has been recognized by the W.H.O. and many European Countries, besides China. In our country, West Bengal has recognized this system. A former resident doctor at Safdarjang Hospital New Delhi and acupuncture practitioner at K.G. Medical Centre. Dr. V.P. Banga says that it is very difficult to learn the system due to absence of its recognition. There are only two options to learn it-by going abroad or from doctors practising in India. A patient reaches an acupuncture practitioner only when he finds no hope anywhere else. He says that all types of patients are coming to him. Choice of treatment is made after assessing the patient's conditions, sensitivity and status of

disease. Besides, acupuncture treatment can be administered like by colour and seeds etc. He says that there is one natural colour for every energy like heat energy is red, air is green, humidity is yellow and dryness is white. These colours can be applied to the patient's skin selectively to provide relief. In most cases response is immediate. Acupuncture points are selected according to the patients total condition. There is misuse of colour acupuncture sometimes. When patient starts getting relief, he starts self-application of the colours, because colours are applied by a simple sketch pen so they think they can do it on their own not realizing this would lead to bad effects. Because every colour is related with an energy and after sometimes when that energy is balanced application of same colour starts giving side effects. At that moment, it is necessary to change the colour. So self treatment can harm the patients, says Dr. Ved.

It is possible to cure Incurable disease by Acupuncture System

BASED ON REPORT IN DAINIK JAGRAN 13 March 2001.

The diseases which have been declared incurable by medical science have been possible to cure by Acupuncture, said Dr. Ved Prakash Banga, an acupuncture practitioner while addressing a gathering of patients at the Acupuncture Camp in G.T.B. Enclave Delhi. Nearly 60 patients were treated at the camp.

Acupuncture was born in China 5000 years ago, says Dr. Ved. It was unfortunate that the system
has not been recognized in our Country by the Central Govt. The West Bengal Government however, has recognized the system and established Acupuncture Council. Dr. Ved Further says that human body is made of five elements and any disturbance in one element can create a disease.

We balance these elements by Acupuncture. He has cured many patients in this camp who were hopeless and had taken treatment
from other pathies. One patient Saurabh, was unable to see with his left eye after an Injury. He tried many government hospitals but failed. Later, he was treated by Acupuncture and is now able to see to a great extent. Dr. Banga said that it the Government of India recognises the Acupuncture system, many patient will benefit. The treatment is quite cost effective and no medicine are required.

ACUPUNCTURE FOR EYES TOO

A lot of progressive research has been made in the field of eye diseases and their cures in alopathy in the recent past. Yet there are several eye diseases for which there is no cure in alopathy. For instance the blindness occurring due to mainly because of the weakness of the retina; a long lasting allergy in the eyes which very often leads to cataract as a result of the continuous use of powerful eye-drops to contain that.

Dr. Ved Prakash Banga who has made a place for himself by curing eye diseases through acupuncture is of the opinion that most of the present day eye diseases and even blindness which normally occur due to the weakness of the retina very often remain incurable because generally the doctors' concentration and attention remain on the eye only. It is limited to the eye and revolves around that only.

The modern day medicine has never looked at the eye from any other angle, asserts Dr. Banga. It has never thought about studying the effects of the enormous but silent energy in the atmosphere on the human body as a whole and on the eyes in particular. It is apparent and nobody can deny this that this omnipresent energy in the nature affects every living thing upon this earth in one way or the other. What is required is to understand these effects and adjust the treatments which are in tune with the cosmic energy, he emphasizes.

Dr.Banga says the modern day medical science has concentrated all its mental faculties and resources on developing newer and newer machines to help diagnose the diseases only. It has never attempted to find out the basic cause of the periodically rise in the number of the eye glasses of the children.

Dr. Banga says that one finds very detailed descriptions on eye diseases in the traditional system of medicine and in the acupuncture system of treatment. A systematic treatment comprising the traditional eye cures available, the Chinese acupuncture and modern medicine was being practiced by Dr. Banga at the Acupuncture India Center, New Delhi, during the past four years. The results of this technique had been very successful and encouraging in containing and curing eye diseases and also preventing blindness due to the weakness of the retina, allergy in the eyes and atrophy of the optic nerves.
